5/20/2016  HMS tops the US marine thruster industry with the sector's highest D&B viability rating.  Among the five principal US commercial marine thruster manufacturer-suppliers, Dun & Bradstreet rated Hydraulic Marine Systems, Inc. as the most viable with a rating of '32BG.'  Not only was HMS’ composite rating the industry’s highest but no other commercial marine thruster manufacturer-supplier bettered HMS’ rating in any of the four fundamental metrics: viability score, portfolio comparison, data depth indicator, and company profile.  Chris Jacobs, HMS’ commercial manager, was pleasantly surprised with the assessment: “The industry has been hit hard by the oil downturn but the company was positioned to ‘weather the storm’ so a strong rating was anticipated.  However I didn’t expect our technical fundamentals to improve as they did given the exceptionally weak market." Company president, John Williams, remarked: “Well this is great!  D&B’s motto is 'decide with confidence' and this rating lets our customers and suppliers do just that when they do business with us.”
